Rock Climbing/ Rappelling
In this track, trained staff will teach campers the dynamics of rock climbing and rappelling. Instruction will begin with a beginner ground school in camp and then progress to actual rock faces. Common rock faces climbed during this track include Crowder's Mountain, Linville Gorge, and Looking Glass, which provide climbing routes for all skill levels. This track includes at least one overnight trip. All gear is furnished by Camp McCall.
Yak & Pak
This track provides campers the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in both kayaking and backpacking. Campers will kayak on Lake Jocassee and backpack various trails such as the South Carolina Foothills Trail or in the Pisgah National Forest. All gear is furnished by Camp McCall.
This track will teach paddling skills and safety procedures as well as low-impact camping during a 5-day, 4-night trip on Lake Jocassee. Sites visited during the trip include Laurel Fork Falls or Keowee-Toxaway. Basic kayaking skills and safety are taught on location in and around Lake Chilly Water. All gear is furnished by Camp McCall.
Camp will end on Friday at 2pm.
9am - 12 noon on the first day of camp.
